  • Coach Jim Carr enters his second season at University School after spending 20 seasons as an assistant coach at the Division 1 level, with stints at Farleigh Dickinson, Rhode Island and Rutgers. Won the 2017 Atlantic 10 championship and made and NCAA Tournament appearance.
  • The Sharks return the core of a team that finished second at Geico Nationals, knocking off 2017 LSI champion Oak Hill along the way. They also captured the City of Palms Classic title and the Florida class 5A state championship.
  • University boasts two top five players nationally in their respective classes. Vernon Carey Jr. enters the Les Schwab Invitational as the nationís number 1 player in the 2019 class, a recent Duke commit, and the MVP of the 2017 FIBA Americas tournament. Scottie Barnes is a top 5 player in the 2020 class and the teamís alpha dog and is Kawhi Leonard-type player.
