* Jefferson has won three out of the last five 5A State Championships in Oregon.

* Head coach Patrick Strickland enters his fifth year as head coach of the Demos where he’s won two league titles and two State Championships.

* Two former Jefferson basketball players were drafted in the first round of last June’s NBA draft. Terrence Ross was selected #8 by the Toronto Raptors and Terrence Jones was selected #18 by the Houston Rockets.

* Jefferson will be led by 6-5 Victor Sanders and junior Silas Melson who were both key contributors last season.

* The Demos are athletic and will have good guard play. They will pressure full court and use their speed and quickness in the open court to their advantage.
