Coach Tom Johnson enters his 36th season as head coach at Barlow and has won over 600 games in his career. Johnson has led the Bruins to 32 straight state playoff appearances and 9 league championships. They have advanced to the 6A state semifinals 4 times and finished runner-up in 1996.
Former Barlow guard Fred Jones was a seven-year NBA veteran and 2004 NBA Slam Dunk champion, after leading the Oregon Ducks to the 2002 NCAA Elite Eight.
The Bruins return multiple starters and will mix in highly touted freshman Jalen Atkins, whose father Josh played under Coach Johnson in the late 1990s.
